Sympathy or a Wake up call

Yesterday's News-Times exposed more regarding the deportation of the Santos Family. On July 10th, 4 out of 5 members of the Danbury family were arrested by ICE for expired visas. This past week, August 2, the 4 members were deported to Brazil leaving behind Mr. and Mrs. Santos' daughter, 17 year old Rayany. Rayany was born in the US therefore isn't facing ICE charges that her father, mother and two brothers are. The family has been living locally for 18 years. For the past 10 years as their visas' had expired, they had been applying for legal status but no luck. Rayany stated, "They're tearing a lot of people apart," she said of ICE. "I wouldn't wish this upon anyone."
Indeed, a sad story, this is one that should be a wake up call to all those, illegal, immigrants who are living here and raising families. Did Mr. and Mrs. Santos ever think about the possibility of being deported, leaving behind their teenage daughter? You can read the N/T article, A family Torn Apart here.

Bottom Line: There is a legal process for entering and staying in this country. Yes, some may find the process to be slow and frustrating but over riding the law is wrong and yes, for breaking any law, big or small, there are consequences for wrong doings.

Got Dirt?

This is not a sad story. This is a true store. This will happen to all the illegal aliens so they should just all pack up and leave NOW

I bet Rayany will go back to Brazil and stay there.

It's not that I don't have compassion for the Santos family or for any other individual in a similiar situation. I BELIEVE IN RIGHT VS. WRONG. I have been wrong in this life, I have done wrong as an American and I have served my time. These illegal immigrants who think they can run away from the law won't be running for much longer. They need to serve their time as well.

Tell Me This:

Why doesn't ICE just go dine at Banana Brail some Friday evening, maybe 7p.m. and get them all.

I know ICE consists of 2,000 agents nation wide - but this plan will certainly help them out!

I don't agree with ICE going in and raiding local eateries in search for illegal immigrants but they need to step up their game...possibly 2,000 agents isn't enough to search thousands upon thousands of the illegal immigrants

No freaking sympathy here. My taxes will NOT support these creatures when they aren't legally here.
They don't support us, why the heck should we support them?
They are using us in all aspects of the phrase.
AND WHY ARE WE LETTING THIS GO ON?

And now all our elected officials (on the local level) are too concerned with the November election that the whole illegal immigration issue will be thrown out the window for a few months.
I sure hope the elected don't make it a point to knock on the (apartment) doors of the immigrants, they don't care about voting, heck THEY CAN'T VOTE

I would like to know if the relatives Rayany is currently residing with are illegal as well.

(To the last anonymous: I would like to know if...)
They most likely are illegal and the thousand of others here in Danbury.

My heart goes out to Rayany. She hasn't asked for any of this, her parents decision to come to the US knowing their visas may sometime expire happened before Rayany was even born.
At 17 years of age, I hope she understands the law is the law, although upsetting, breaking it has consequences.

These creatures just get away with way too much.
The city's new parade ordinance is just ONE thing, Danbury has done trying to control the illegals.

Don't forget about the farmer's market. Boy they really thought having boxes of veggies and fruit for sale in Kennedy Park would rid the land of day laboreres. WRONG-O

They should write more sob stories about immigrants. They make me giggle.

A family that breaks the law should be torn apart.

Anyone see the comment on the News Times that someone wrote saying they were the REAL RAYANY SANTOS. Sicko whoever wrote that.

Anonymous said...

Maybe it was the real Rayany. She was just in Danbury recently visiting a child who is her cousin.

Hey crybaby, I knew I find you here since the author of this site is promoting this blog all over the place.

...you can run, but you can't hide.

This is a sad story but wasn't the family here illegally? It's hard to justify their actions if they were breaking the law. Either way my heart goes out to them and they sound like they will get through this together.

To be fair, when will the News Times write some stories about American families that are torn apart because of the actions of illegal aliens?

The recent execution style murders of college students in Newark is just one tragic example. At least one of the accused is an illegal alien.
Where is that story, News Times?
In that case, 3 American families are now ripped apart by the actions of illegal aliens.

Same rhetoric we see time and time again fron the pro-immigrants. Get to your point and stop being so hurtful.

Why don't you people let immigrants be? Forget their legal status, can't you just chill for a bit???!

Anonymous said...

No one is against "immigrants".

MANY are against ILLEGAL ALIENS.

The pro illegal crowd loves to call them immigrants, when they know full well the correct term is illegal aliens.
What a bunch of lying asshats.
The pro illegals are losing.
Suck it up!

O Shit, I'm confused, Do these "illegal" creatures magically change when they get a green card? I feel like I'm dealing with children here.

And who is the fear mongerer??

Anonymous said...

Gee who could the real dump mark poster be?? I'm guessing the same person who judges people on their political stance, but that's just a wild guess considering an (alleged) massive amount of wasteful bandwidth.

You're wrong. She has way too much family and a future still here. You are a xenophobe.

Rayany can thank her parents for teaching her a lesson on following the law!
