Danbury Development

Glad to see two things this week caught my eye after reading the News Times. They both prove to folks in Danbury that there is more we can do to preserve our beautiful land.
#1 - The Taylor Farm; what a great idea for the city to purchase it and save it from the real estate market.
# 2 - A tree grows in Rogers Park; congrats to Bartlett Tree Experts for 90+ years and thanks for sharing this time with the entire city of Danbury by planting this tree.

We all can make the place we live a beautiful one. The term overdevelopment concerns alot of residents of Danbury, myself included.

Bottom Line: Let's do more things like the two above and take control of overdevelopment.
Got Dirt?

I'm sorry Danbury Dirt but if you think planting one single tree is helping to avoid OVERDEVELOPMENT than think again.
Danbury is such a disgrace. If I could close my eyes while driving down our Main Street I would.

I would love to enjoy the farmer's market but do you blame me for not buying the produce that sits on the grass where our day laborers bathed this morning?

Danbury Dirt: We keeps building condos, condos, condos, low income housing, low income housing for more and more people to keep coming into Danbury.

WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WERE HERE FIRST AND CARE ABOUT THE PLACE WE LIVE.

You watch, I will hold my breath with this statement.

The new elementary school that had its' ground breaking this past week - It will be built too small, because no one is stopping the immigration issue.

Very sad to see some of most precious land in Danbury being zoned for condos and housing for the low income.

Why do we continue building and building?

The city is just falling in a hole they are digging themselves.

* BRT's new complex on Crosby Street, let's see how much revenue in Sept. these college kids will be bringing to the city.
* New apartment buildings throughout the city, let's see how the workload of the UNIT will be increasing.

In the last 4 years the Zoning Commission has approved just nine individual condo units.
Get your facts straight.

Who got the contract for the kitchen and bathroom cabinets in those 9 units?

As a BRT supporter, I have to say I love this city.

"As a BRT supporter, I have to say I love this city."

You should! 7 year tax abatement, and almost $800,000 in free city sewer hook ups!
I would love it too!

Boughton's tax breaks to BRT have made the housing more affordable for many Danbury residents. It seems the immigrant lovers do not take this into consideration when expressing their hatred for Mark.
